Made for the Zimbabwean month-end

Payroll should not take over your week.

Move away from scattered Excel files, repeated calculations and last-minute corrections. Temric keeps employee changes, payroll calculations and review in one place.

01

Zimbabwe payroll in one workflow

Prepare employee pay alongside PAYE, AIDS levy, NSSA and applicable NEC calculations, using the company settings selected for that payroll.

02

Attendance and part-month pay

Capture payable days, overtime and unpaid time without rebuilding spreadsheet formulas every month.

03

Employee records payroll can rely on

Keep National ID, statutory identifiers, job, department, pay and employment status with the employee record.

04

See the totals before payday

Review gross pay, deductions, net pay and employer cost for the whole payroll and for each employee.

05

ZIMRA and statutory reporting

Use the same reviewed payroll to prepare PAYE P2 working figures, contribution summaries, reports and employee payslips instead of rebuilding month-end information in separate spreadsheets.

06

Roles, review and audit history

Separate preparation from review, limit sensitive actions by role and keep important payroll activity visible.

From employees to payslips

Three clear steps to a calmer payday.

Temric keeps the monthly process simple enough to follow while preserving the checks a payroll team still needs.

01 · ADD YOUR TEAM

Keep employee details together

Record pay, attendance, overtime, deductions and the identifiers needed for payroll.

02 · REVIEW THE PAYROLL

Check every total

See the company summary and open each employee to understand every amount before approval.

03 · PREPARE OUTPUTS

Move from numbers to payslips

Use the reviewed payroll to prepare reports and employee payslips from one consistent calculation.

Why Zimbabwean businesses formalise payroll

The payroll is only half the job. The statutory report is the other half.

Paying salaries may feel straightforward. The audit trail, PAYE return and employer obligations are what make payroll formal. Temric keeps the records behind those month-end duties connected to the payroll that produced them.

P2

ZIMRA PAYE P2 return

Review employee remuneration, PAYE and AIDS Levy totals used to prepare the monthly P2 employer return. ZIMRA requires P2 returns to be submitted through TaRMS.

TR

TaRMS reporting support

Keep employee-level payroll information organised for the TaRMS Employee Management and PAYE return process. Temric does not log into ZIMRA or submit a return on your behalf.

NS

NSSA and NEC schedules

Review employee and employer contributions, applicable NEC details and payroll totals from the same calculation used for payslips.

ZD

ZIMDEF employer levy

ZIMDEF is an employer manpower levy, not an employee deduction. Ask Temric to include it in implementation after the applicable wage-bill basis and current rate are confirmed.

SDF

Standards Development Fund levy

SDF is a separate employer obligation. It is enabled only after the company confirms applicability, the wage-bill basis and the current statutory rate.

AU

Records for an audit

Keep employee identifiers, pay components, reviewed totals and payroll history together so your accountant can explain how the return figures were produced.

Zimbabwe payroll and statutory administration

Keep the return figures connected to the payroll.

Temric brings employee pay, PAYE, AIDS Levy, NSSA and applicable NEC calculations into one review. It also gives ZIMDEF and SDF the correct visibility as employer obligations that require a confirmed wage-bill basis.

ZIMRA PAYE and P2Prepare and review PAYE and AIDS Levy figures for the monthly P2 return submitted through TaRMS.
NSSA and applicable NECKeep employee and employer contribution amounts visible alongside the payroll.
ZIMDEF and SDFTreat employer levies separately from employee deductions and verify the current basis before activation.

Zimbabwe payroll reporting questions

What employers and accountants need to know.

Direct answers about ZIMRA P2 returns, TaRMS, PAYE, NSSA, NEC, ZIMDEF and employer records.

What payroll return does a Zimbabwe employer submit to ZIMRA?

The monthly employer PAYE return is the P2 return. ZIMRA requires the completed P2 return to be submitted through its Tax and Revenue Management System, known as TaRMS.

What is a TaRMS payroll report?

TaRMS is the ZIMRA Self-Service Portal used for tax administration and return submission. People often use “TaRMS report” to mean the employee payroll data and P2 PAYE figures that must be prepared for submission through that portal.

How does Temric help with the ZIMRA P2 return?

Temric keeps employee remuneration, PAYE, AIDS Levy and payroll totals together so the employer or tax agent can prepare and review the P2 return against the current TaRMS requirements before submission.

Does Temric submit directly to ZIMRA?

No. Temric prepares payroll records and working figures. The employer, accountant or authorised tax agent remains responsible for checking the current ZIMRA template, submitting through TaRMS and making payment through official channels.

Can Temric support ZIMDEF and the Standards Development Fund levy?

Yes, as employer levy implementation support. ZIMDEF and SDF are not employee deductions. They are enabled only after the organisation confirms applicability, the wage-bill basis and the current statutory rates.

Does Temric support NSSA and NEC payroll calculations?

Temric supports NSSA and applicable NEC calculations within the reviewed payroll. The company must confirm the current NSSA ceiling, applicable NEC, subsector, grade and rates before use.

Can Temric help during a payroll audit?

Temric keeps employee identifiers, pay components, reviewed payroll totals and audit history together, helping the business explain how the figures behind payslips and statutory returns were produced.
